What Are The 10 Tips To Lose Weight Fast?
I’ve been looking around for weight lost tips in the hope of losing weight fast. Let me just say, I’ve it was not easy. I have faced so many challenges keeping to a diet that I just wanted to give up. Diets are not easy to follow and trust me, many struggle to stay on a diet. You have to admit that weight gain has always been a very troubling issue with many especially with so much mouthwatering food easily available. Not to mention the remote control and other such gadgets that confine us to a couch. Battling the bulge has become a full time vocation for some. Be cautioned that diet fads can be unsafe and very expensive.
So I wanted to come up with a sustainable healthy eating plan that was safe and doable, and of course minus the unpleasant side effects that fad diets sometimes cause. After much experimenting, I finally saw results and so I’ve compiled below 10 weight loss tips that are safe and have worked well for me:
Weight Loss Tip #1
Drink 8 to 10 glasses of water daily to rid your body of fat and toxins. I know, you’ve heard this said before, but I just cannot stress enough how this works wonders on helping you shed off pounds with the added benefits of extra stamina and a nice complexion too! If you find water insipid, then add a slice of lemon or drink green tea. Green tea revs up your metabolism and burns fat. Green tea is packed with antioxidants that boosts up your immune system and in the long run it will take years off you. I’ve also tried a glass of chlorophyll with my meals. Chlorophyll is a blood purifier so you will rid your body of unwanted toxins and when you body rids itself of toxins the fat cells get smaller. What a nice way to lose weight, don’t you agree?
Weight Loss Tip #2
This is another common but effective tip. I know you heard this one before too but it really works! Portion control. Instead of eating 3 heavy meals, eat 5 to 6 small meals throughout the day. I can’t stress enough on this one. It is the mos effective strategy you can adopt if you really want to lose weight. The smaller portion means less calories. You body will easily metabolize the calories and so nothing gets stored!
Weight Loss Tip #3
Portion control is important and so is your food intake. What you eat does make a difference! Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Always make it a point to eat fruits, vegetables and whole grains. You body needs nutrients not just calories. These foods are a great source of nutrients that provide your body with the much needed antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and fiber. When you consume sufficient nutrients, you will feel fuller and be less tempted to snack on empty calorie sugary snacks.
Weight Loss Tip #4
This brings us to the question of sugar. Just 4 words of advice here. Cut down on sugar! Beware, there is so much hidden calories in cordials, cafe lattes and carbonated drinks. Don’t get sucked into thinking one cup of coffee with full cream milk and sugar will do no harm. If you continue to consume say 5 lattes, the kilos are going to mount. Have a latte if you must but in moderation. Two cups a day? Just be sure you burn off those extra calories with half an hour of jogging or brisk walking. Oh, before I forget, stay away from candies and pastries too. At least until after you’ve achieved your desired weight. You can then reward yourself with just one pastry or candy say twice a week? Deprivation can lead to binging and we don’t want that now, do we? But please do this only after you’ve lost the extra weight!!
Weight Loss Tip #5
Now that you understand caloric reduction. Please make sure you read food labels. Everything you buy from the grocers comes with labels and they are there for a reason. To provide you with caloric and nutritional facts. Make sure you read the labels so that you know what you are putting into your body. Junk in — junk out! Treat your body well, give it only nutrients and just the right amount of fuel it needs and you will be rewarded with a healthy and beautiful body!
Weight Loss Tip #6
Keep tabs on the amount of calories you are consuming on a daily basis. Treat food as fuel and nutrition. Our bodies need fuel to function and nutrition to stay healthy. Once you change your mindset, you will look at food differently. Once you are able to recognize that you body is like a machine that runs on fuel, you will see the need to exercise in order to burn off the excess calories (fuel). You will then know how much food you should consume and how much time to allocate for exercise in order to achieve your desired weight.
Weight Loss Tip #7
This bring us to our next tip – Exercise! What kind of exercise should you be doing to burn off those unwanted adipose tissue you are carrying around. I always advise that you do something you enjoy! I cannot stress that enough. Do something you enjoy! If you enjoy what you are doing, you are going to keep on doing it. Get my point? Gardening, walking, jogging, yoga, mountain climbing, swimming, tennis, dancing….whatever. Just as long as it keeps you physically active do it. I find I get a great work out doing some house cleaning and gardening. It is something I enjoy and in return I have a lovely garden and a neat and tidy house! I also enjoy hill climbing and so I do that twice a week. As I live by the sea, I swim every Sunday. These are activities I enjoy and so it is not a chore that I have to do but something I look forward to doing.

Let’s get real here. Some of us are more resolute than others. Some of us have the discipline and willpower to keep at our goals until we achieve it. Alas, for some doing it alone can be a challenge. So, for those of you who lack the willpower to keep going, I would recommend roping in a friend. Two is always better than one. The success rate is much better when you have a buddy to help you out. Believe it! Just take a look at Weight Watchers! Find someone who is supportive. Someone who has been there, done it and succeeded is your best bet. However, not all of us are fortunate enough to have such a buddy. So, just rope in a friend who will commit to your success. It is all it takes to get you started. This friend can help you in so many ways to achieve your weight loss goal. Jogging, gardening, having a healthy meal together, the options are endless. What truly is important is that there is someone there for you when you need them, as we all have our ups and downs. If you need a little boost you know you can count on your buddy to give you the support you need.
Weight Loss Tip #9
We’ve come a long way. Now that we have a buddy to give us that extra push and support, we need a plan. Having an action plan gives us direction. We don’t want to go about this haphazardly. Why waste time, right? Having an action plan helps you get organized and organization saves a tone of time. Believe me! Make a commitment to stick to your plan of action. If you’ve opted for a buddy, get your buddy to commit to helping you with sticking to your action plan. List down everything you need to do in order to succeed and commit.
Weight Loss Tip #10
Finally, the last tip. Tip No. 10. You have everything you need, now all that is left if your mindset. Yes, you heard me right. Without the right mind set, you’re not going to succeed. Set your mind to go all the way. No safety nets, No contingency plans. Burn all safety nets. Remove every distraction that will cause you to fail. That includes all the foodstuff that are wrong for you. Get yourself a pair of jogging shoes. A tennis racket. Paste a picture of someone or yourself at your ideal weight on the refrigerator door. Do whatever it takes to put yourself in the right mindset.

PS: I must admit I failed on my first few tries but I started over and with each start-over, it got easier until finally healthy eating and exercise became second nature to me.
